All people can write a little poem...or one line that helps everyone feel like settling in and creating something. We'd like something postiive and uplifting as well as welcoming and
comfortable without being too mushy. Hahaha! that's alot, isn't it? Well, let's get started,
lets' boogie, let's blow the roof off, let's have fun. What's your line? What's the tune you
whistle?
Well hello everyone...
How about the name of the theme song be "Come ride our rubber horse?"
Ok, just kidding...I think... That might work too...
Here is what I was thinking when I "First" started writing the lyrics. I was thinking about the tune "Are you lonesome tonight" by Elvis Presley. Taa Daa...Not exactly a perfect match, but...
I can and will finish the rest of the song now if you would like...unless you'd like to help...
Meanwhile... Go to my main page here and listen to the song I wrote and had recorded called Clumsy Dog. It is a Christmas song I wrote the lyrics for and had it recorded at Paramount Group in Nashville Tennessee. Hopefully some recording artist like...well, I'll leave that open, but someone very popular will like and make it a big hit for themselves as well as me. (Royalties are always good... Christmas is right around the corner folks)...
Here is how to get in touch with Paramount Group and their guidelines, cost, etc.
You submit the lyrics...They come up with the tune and record it on a demo CD. http://paramountsong.com/
I have made a few songs with them...I'm happy!
Enough said, that is just an idea...
Right now, I am busy with my children's books and am not into the musical lyric writing portion of my tiny brain.
If you like that idea, and would like to help write the lyrics along with the rest of this group, please join in and start pecking away. After all, this is a group thing and I'm not looking to be a hero.
I'm waiting to hear some feedback on this before going further.
What should we name the rubber horse anyway? Does it already have a name?
Bye...
That http://paramountsong.com/ site looks pretty professional but I still like the idea of us devising our own tune.
Richard said he had an idea a while ago for a tune as well. I also had the idea everyone could sing a bit and then some genius member would know how to mix the different bits of singing together.
Hi Jill,
The rubber horse I was referring to was the one made of recycled tires. The pic you sent me on 2/29 from Funny Chill.com
I was thinking it could be our Mascot for the Cafe. You know here in the US they had the riding Bull thingy, so I thought we could have like the rubber horse thing.
I'm kidding of course... I think...
To put some kind of closure to all this faffing about , I am over the next week or so going to put a little tune to Jay's lyrics and post it up on my page.
Then you all can tell me that either:
a) My tune sucks
b) I am a creative genius worthy of the Nobel Prize etc etc
Thus will be my great contribution to this endless debate
This thread seems to have got full up and there are no more 'reply to' links at the end. But we have a breakthrough! Richard has done us a great song now which is HERE for you to have a listen to.
And we want volunteers to sing as well as all your opinions so please join over to this discussion above.
