Let your imagination run free

I would love to know how everyone copes or the methods when they have a bad day, yesterday we had an order for some candles and we were having a stressful day anyway, this continued and no matter what myself and my partner just couldnt get the candles to go right we normally do not have a problem lol but the colour decided to play with us and then he spilt the hot wax all over his hand. I told him to quit it, take a breather and then return.

How do you cope when having a bad day?

|I was having a bad day last week, I usually do something really brain numbing, like playing spider solitair, with music going on in the background. I keep saying I only have to win one game and then I will get on with something a bit more worthwhile, but it takes many games just to win one, so by the time I have looked at the clock, its too late to start anything!!!! Its a bad habit, but it does the trick.

LOL I went through a stage of constanting playing spider solitaire and it can be so frustrating, unfortunately when I got a virus on my laptop the repair shop managed to delete all the games :(

Ah, I am the same way but with a different game. When I get stressed I go to Yahoo Spades and play a while. I love the competition and it's a great stress reliever. The only bad thing is that sometimes the games get heated and there are a few choice words thrown around amongst the players, but it helps me out every time I have a bad day or week.

One really superficial thing I do when having a bad day is go into a daydream that I win the lottery. Then I plan the dream house I will build. It always has big windows and doors opening onto the garden which gets the sun (when we ever get any sun!) right up until the sunset in the evening. And a lovely view of course. And some roses growing round the door. I like the idea of having a lovely garden but am now so unfit I wouldn't be able to keep up the weeding!

Whenever I have a bad day, the first thing I do is to stop feeling sorry for myself and the best way to go to the hospital and look at the sick people and look at the healthy me. Everything will be in perspective.

Going to the hospital is an excellent way to meet up with bacteria and a new fun viris. Then you can become one of those sick people in the hospital and we can visit you and feel a whole lot better.

It's all about sharing, eh?

I am actually one of the sick people in the hospital already but I escaped!

I am too sick to go in hospital.

Nudge, nudge etc etc etc

Well I think I would be heading for the hospital if someone told me that and quite honestly feeling sorry for yourself is not the same as having a bad day! its only human to have a bad day, especially when it comes to being creative - you cant always get things to go the way you want and that can be frustrating. Thanks for the replies, lets hope I dont have another bad day or I will need a trip to the hospital again ;) ;)

I just picked my partner up from the hospital on Saturday so now he is at home and I can go look at him there. Does that count? At least it saves some money on fares! He's OK, by the way, just had a new hip!

I joined a kickboxing class about a year ago and that is how I express myself in times of stress and misfortune. I go there after a long day of work and hit and kick a 200lb bag as hard as possible hoping that my stress will not prevail until the evening.
