Creative Cafe

Let your imagination run free

Last year it was my brother's 50th birthday and I made him a big black drawstring bag with a big red 50 appliqued on the front and inside we put 50 joke style little presents all with 50 somehow in the theme. I can't remember the many themes of 50 we found on ebay but there were a lot. I couldn't be with him but he had friends out to a meal on the night and they all had a laugh opening the presents.

My sister is going to be 50 this year and I'd like to do something similar but different for her to. With all the brilliant artists and craftsmakers on here I wonder what you can suggest? I am going to be buying things for her anyway so am happy if these sales are made in our Creative Cafe Salesrooms on items that go with the theme. And I'm happy to make some things within my limited sewing skills as well.

Her birthday isn't until December either so there is plenty of time. Just thought I'd let you know I'm in the market for 50s theme presents early.

Hi Jill,

I am so useless with birthday ideas and so cant really think of anything, maybe a nice purse that you could apply something, or if she likes pictures a nice enlarged picture in a frame. See told you I am useless with ideas ;)
