Let your imagination run free

Ok so now we have a new page for Notes what are we gonna do with it?

Any imaginative ideas you have about this I will be glad to hear and there are prizes to be won for your most imaginative suggestions!

I myself think the Notes page might be useful for writing down a shopping list or two!

And does anyone know what the Notes page is really ment to be for because I don't!

Hmmm......If its to be used on our own pages I would def use mine for reminders ets as have a brain like a sieve at times so yep good idea and would be great if we had some sort of calendar as we could note up and coming craft events which we can personally attend or be involved in one way or another!!!

Maybe if it was a public notes page then I would suggest maybe an open forum chat page to be used for anything!!!

Basically like a chat room sort of thing where anyone can join in, talk to their contacts on their friends lists and just pass the time of day!!

Hi Julia

If you look along the top row of tabs for site pages underneath the logo you will see Main page on the Left, then My Page, then Members, then Events (which is also new), then Forum, then Gadgets, then Groups, and then there is the new Notes page tab.

I tried it and you can only write a note with no comments allowed. It is public but could be too slow for chat. I did have a chat box widget on the right side of ever page but it didn't seem to get used and then it went wrong so I didn't replace it. This is also bearing in mind that we also wanted to cut the site loading times down and some widgets do slow things down. But if it was wanted by members we could try and find another chat facility that works?

Have a look and a go on the Notes page and see what you think of that anyway.

I am most probably being thick, again, but I could not see how to add a note on the notes page.

I did wonder if this could be used for short bulletin type messages to alert people to things that are not covered in events e.g new product or listing in creative cafe salesroom, short news items or reminders of deadlines.

I realise this would be dependent on us all remembering to check the notes page regularly but what do you all think? I am sure there are far better imaginations out there than mine.

Hi Margaret

The 'add Note' bit it at the top over to the right just above the search box. I had to look twice before seein it myself.

It can certainly be used for short bulletins and whatever else members want but I am not sure if we will remember to check it very often?

I am not even sure if new notes show up in the latest activity list? Will have to think of something to Note about and then check that.

Bye for Now
