I was looking at Applications which I have remissly never looked at before because I was trying to find where my RSS feed is (if anyone knows where please do let me know!) and I found that there are all sorts of these Applications you can add to your page including this one called Shopit which says it is a Store where you can sell your work on your page. I havn't tried it because I don't have anything to sell myself but it might be useful? Let me know what you think of it.

Hi
Well after sending in 2 bug/abuse reports and hearing nothing back I have now written to the developer of Shopit in the Ning Developer Network discussion on this application.
I'll let you know when/if there is any reply.
Right well sorry for the delay. On Ning Developers the designer of Shopit turned up and said they were fixing bugs. Then tonight I got the following message:
Hi Jill,
Just wanted to inform you that the issues you and your users were facing have been resolved. It no longer goes to the about page while clicking on any links.
Thanks,--Troy
So I thought I would test it and went to Gems Shopit and in the interests of research bought a very lovely blue choker! The checkout is Ok and you can easily do a paypal but it doesn't return you to the merchant afterwards. Also some of the links like See Full Store still don't seem to work. But at least it is possible to buy something from Shopit although it is slow and could still put off potential customers. On the plus side it does show right at the top of your page so any page traffic you get can hardly miss your items for sale.
And that is the end of my review of Shopit for the moment!
If I remember right you can scroll down & on the right bypass the cell phone number. I used this on the buried treasury ning site but never got any response from anyone on it. I do not notice anyone on buried treasury using it any more. Maybe they did away with it. You can try it I think it is safe. i just was involved way over my head in sites & needed to stop taking care of the app.
