I have trouble writing songs and then finding chords to put the with....

basically I can write pretty cool lyrics but can't find the chords that sound great with the song

or

I can have some chords but they don't go with the songs i've written or i go blank..

grrrr

We have to learn which chords go with what feelings. Generally, C, G are happy sounding chords, as are the fourth and fifth keys away from C and G.

When your song is sad, then minor chords fit in well.

Fearful songs use a lot of dischordant tones, notes that sound bad together. Usually half tones next to one another.

Try those out and see what you think.
