Hi Alec

How are you and how is your Mom getting on? I hope the treatment she is getting is working well.

The time goes by so quickly. I see it was May I wrote you the last comment and now we are in July already. Well it would be nice to hear from you when you get a moment anyway.

Hi Alec

Have just read your comment. Really sorry about your Mom. There is a lot they can do for cancer these days. Is she getting good treatment?

I understand your need to 'self-medicate' as they call it. Must be a very worrying time for you. Try to take things easy at the moment. You've had shocking news and it is bound to be hard for you to cope.

I remember the Nixon and Watergate stuff but only vaguely know what went on really. I remember it was reported over here quite a lot but I think people understood more from that President's Men film.

Anyway like I say take it easy and I will be thinking of you.

Take Care

Hi Alec

Yes I know what you mean about it being second nature to reach for a cigarette. I just do it without thinking half the time. But I went for the results of a breathing test I took a while ago today and was told I need a stronger inhaler and to go for a chest xray. It's catching up with me now isn't it!

Anyway went to a nice garden nursery afterwards and bought some nice plants for the garden which cheered me up. I like to see some flowers and bright colours out there and we also got some rock plants for a rockery in one corner that I am planning. For a very small garden I have big plans!

What about you. Do you like gardening at all?

Hi Alec

Glad to hear the dentures are fitting OK. You sound quite cheerful at the moment anyway.

Yes I am a smoker and have tried to give up but can't. It is like second nature since I was smoking from the age of 16. I learned on the back of the school bus! So the bad breathing is all my own fault but in those days it was cool to smoke and advertised everywhere. Even so I should give up and have at least tired to cut down a lot.

Anyway it is nice to hear from you and hear your news so keep in touch.

Hi Alec

Havn't heard from you for a while so thought I'd write you a comment. How are things going? Have the dentures settled in yet? And how is your quilt story? Is it finished now?

Things here are OK. My breathing is getting bad. I get out of breath really easily now which means I spend even more time sitting down on the computer! My latest thing to promote creative cafe is Twitter. Have you ever tried Twitter?

Anyway it would be nice to hear how you are doing whenever you get time.

Hi Alec

The no reply emails mean you can only reply on the messages system on here. I have given up sending round those comments about the Salesrooms closing as I had a reply saying "sorry to hear Creative Cafe is closing". Well we are not closing! Just the Salesrooms. I thought I made that clear but obviously not! So I have sent round a message to the whole group instead now.

Yes well as long as you find the dentures comfortable enough I guess that is
Ok. Azzi got a new lot that were too big and only wore them once. He looked really distressed at the time as well!

I'm told you are right about the energy stuff. I wish I had paid more attention in school to science subjects so I could design some good gadgets now!

Anyway I hope you have a good week.

Bye for Now

Hi Alec

Are the dentures uncomfortable? Why can't you leave them in all the time and forget about them?

You are good at science aren't you. So how about you help me with this project we dreamed up the other day! You know there is all this push for wind and solar power now. Well how about human and now Kass has suggested animal power as well. For example they are now putting in energu making speed ramps which generate power when cars drive over them and there is a night club with a energy generating dance floor. But what if we expand into things like energy generating rugs and staircases and bracelets and necklaces and these collect energy from movements into small batteries which can then be collected up regularly and used to power stuff. Do you think this is feasible?! Only creative answers allowed!
