Dance With your Angels
To me, dancing is not only a form of exercise, but a great outlet for self-expression, a chance to use one’s creative spirit in tune with the music and with another person.
Dance is an outlet which is beyond a new realm of understanding – a chance to change one’s inner energy into something more positive. It derives from the heavens and draws us closer to what serenity is all about. Dance will calm us down, so that we can think better. For me, dance is one of the best tranquilizers.
Dance draws us closer to the spiritual world. It gives us a chance to remain focused on one thing and to be able to take a break, even if it’s a short break. Try dancing with or without a partner and see how you feel when you’re done. You will feel fantastic!
If you’re at your office or at home, bring a tape recorder with your favorite music. If you can’t listen to music, develop a tune in your head. Get into a private room, even if it’s a closet space or outside, somewhere where you can have your own private space. If your space is inside, use some candle light.
Let’s say you have found your space. You might try some stretching exercises, like sitting on the floor with your legs outstretched, and leaning over toward each foot. Start off with your breathing. Breathe through your nose for a count of 1,2,3,4. Hold your breath for one count, and then breathe out through your mouth for 1,2,3,4 counts. Once you feel comfortable doing that, you can start dancing.
Sit or stand, whichever is comfortable. As you breathe, start rocking back and forth. Feel the mood of the music you’re playing or even the mood you need to get rid of, so that the positive energy can come in. your nerves will calm down and you will feel more energy to return to work, feeling great.

Thanks for your reply, Richard. I love your page here. Love the dark back/foreground with electric colours filtering through. How are things in southern Cal? We're actually, finally getting some summer over here in Green England. Makes me think of home...All the best, Leslie
