Kor! -Gee-willakers ma-am! I dunno what t'say! Thank you so kindly! Altho', come to think of it, I'm not sure if I should thank you or blame the vikings? (Well, it was usually either them or the Visigoths wasn't it!?!) Thanks tx

UK MPs hiding their expences

mySociety blog » 6 days to stop MPs concealing their expenses

By Tom Steinberg on Saturday, January 17th, 2009
Uh oh. Ministers are about to conceal MPs’ expenses, even though the public has just paid £1m to get them all ready for publication, and even though the tax man expects citizens to do what MPs don’t have to. They buried the news on the day of the Heathrow runway announcement. This is heading in the diametric wrong direction from government openness.

You can help in the following three… Continue

SEX

This morning Richard Bacon standing in for Matthew Wright & a panel of guests discussed the topic; “Should we teach sex to Four year olds”? Several callers also offered their angst ridden views. I remembered an old joke that may well throw some light on the subject.

A mother and her four year old child are in the checkout queue.

The child asks; “Mummy, where do I come from”?

The mother gingerly attempts an explanation.

“Mummy and Daddy have a loving cuddle and we made you”.

The child re… Continue

The merits of blackmailing? Ha! ha!

Know exactly where you are coming from. there is most definately a method in Dad's madness although i would say he is quite possibly mad too. In fact I would go further and say I am quite possibly out of my league with him. I have always tried to play fair in life. Hence have gone nowhere in regards to climbing the ladders and living on a diet of meeting based buffet lunches.

This leopard cannot change her spots but she does get to the point where she makes herself inaccessable so as emotional blackmail is left until times that she can stomach it.

Mh services are pretty good at blackmail too...well by default really. They do nothing so others (who care) have to or feel obliged. He is me Dad...and as such seems to have a license to hurt me. Would take years of therapy (maybe less if it was real quality therapy) to sort that. Or a desert island (with mass supplies of choccy)

Garden is no go...due to rain. So it will be an afternoon of cutty outty bits. Are those poetry programmes running through the day? If so, wil ltune in.

Mornin' Azzi

Not going to be on long...need to be resting me eyes (well everything really). So far have kept full blown migraine at bay but Dad was pretty grot yesterday. He was crying when Dr J and I were about to leave, so we escorted him to my place for a Sunday dinner. He seemed calmer, for a while, and enjoyed watching 'Who wants to be a millionnaire'. I have to choose programmes that won't upset him. He actually got adji watching 'The Royal' and said he had to leave.

Was totally whacked out last night so today is a 'do much of nothing' day.

If sun comes out, will venture to garden with Suki and listen to some tunes. Either that or take a tabby and go back to bed. I could do with more sleep. Least that is what my brain is telling me. :>)

Thanks for link will check it out later and make a list of essentials.

I stopped reading papers years ago, although I do occasionally buy Private Eye for the laffs. I really need a good book to get into..when my eyes are able to focus a bit better.

First and foremost I need a milky drink...fancy a hot choccy.

Bye for now

Remember this one?

Morning Azzi

So were you married to the mob yesterday? As in did all expected duly arrive?

It was a pretty monumental day for me. Rather than procrastinating about what I could do...I did it. Walked to town and back (by myself) and bought flowering plants. The ones, advised most likely, to attact bees. Have also got pot for the bee home but not sure quite what to do with it yet. Perhaps more procrastination will take place ...Ha! ha!

Friend picked me up some compost so have repotted them into larger pots. All rivetting stuff but hoping it serves to aid the bees in some small way. Will venture to town again (during week) for more plants and pots and so my garden may start to look a bit less like a wasteland. Here's hoping.

Made a massive fry up for Dr J and myself. And that was my yesterday. TV was truly pants. I watched reruns of Louis Theroux's Lost Weekends. I am never quite sure what to make of him. Sometimes I think he is like a consciencious objector (whilst actively reporting) and other times I think he genuinely cares and wants to get involved. It does make for interesting viewing and reminds me that however nuts I am, there are other people who are really gone and just don't know it.

One of yesterday's programmes was about black nationalisim in America and although the extremist groups he saw were evidently not going to make for a balanced society, I understand some of their reasons. Actually more their frustrations at the levels of racial hatred towards black people and the police brutality that still goes on. Then I thought about some of the acts British police have been involved in recently and I do worry about what has been done and will continue to be done to innocent people without any accountability. That is the way of the world! The meek won't so much inherit the earth as be forced into it (literal sense).

Before I rant on and on me Sunday soapbox will head off to make comforting drink and drop a tabby.

Hope your Sunday is a mellow one and you get good eats.

Am playing this because of links to post but also because it reminds me of my childhood and I loved to sing along:

Hi Azzi

Just checked time on pc. Blimey, the morning has gone already. Ho hum!

Been for me morning constitutional (local shops for nicotine). Done some housy bits and contemplating going to town..just for exercise really. Will see how weather pans out.

Anything planned for Chez Jill n Azzi?

I prefered the second video. Mick camping it up is always fun to watch.

Hi Azzi

I hope Liam is okay and Dickens is back to his usual lively self.

I had planned to venture to town (alone) to get stuff for my part in the save the bees campaign. Only logistics (of carrying lots of things about and then getting home) gave me nosebleed. So have put that back in pending file until someone is able and willing to help me.

I bought 'Automatic Lover'. Now that really is sad!!!

Ummm...not much cooking in my kicthen today. It is quite blowy outside so have got some washing on the line and is a family fish and chip supper night. I totally bawlsed up a card I was making so have shelved that till am more co-ordinated.

Off for a long soak and maybe an afternoon kip. Oh, seems I won't be getting an ID card cos I don't have a driving license. Have no wish to renew passport or anything else ID wise. I will become a non person. Ha! Ha!

For some bizarre reason this song has come into my head:

Ahoy there Azzi

News from the lifeboat....still floating (just about) :>)

Juggling meds....funny old game. Glad but relatively normal digestive service has been resumed.

During rather fraught half meeting with care co-ordinator I told her that Lithium is a definate "No No" now, mostly on grounds that all previous shrinky meds have been pants and I don't trust the service....in fact there is no service really. People are paid to turn up and tell you there isn't a service. Waste of quite a few salaries, me thinks.

Then had GP who was very sweet but obviously isn't a MH service. He did however provide sympathy and an extra lozzie prescription. In the absense of that will do me.

So that's the naff news. The good news is..not sure really. I have chocolate. That is good news to me.

Jill wrote that she is sorting space for your collection of computers. Dr J messes about with electrical stuff. It absorbs him for hours and I think that is a good thing...as in he seems to enjoy the distraction.

Here is my tribute to MH services:
