About Me and my Creativity.
I make soy candles and am just starting my own business. I also love crafts, especially "green" type crafts. If I can recycle (and it doesn't look horribly tacky), I do! I am really into herbalism right now. I just started a little medicinal herb garden as well as a culinary herb garden. My husband and I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes, so I'm excited about having fresh herbs. I also hope someday to make herbal soaps, lotions, linen spray, etc.
Likes and Dislikes
I like saving money, really who doesn't though? I had to quit my job a year ago, due to chronic pain. Since we are living basically on 1 income, I have become quite the expert in saving money. I admit it, I am a coupon-aholic.

Do you have any disabilities that affect your creativity?
I deal with fibromyalgia, chronic back pain and chronic fatigue. I think just like everyone else, I have good days and I have bad days.

My Very First Blog

I've never blogged before, so please bear with me if I'm doing it wrong. :) What to blog about...hmm...Well, maybe a little about me. I live in rural western Washington state, in the U.S. I am married, no kids, just cats. I currently have opened my own small business from home. It's called Pure Soy Illuminations, and I make soy candles. I really enjoy making these candles. I have fibromyalgia, chronic back pain and fatigue, as well as anxiety. So… Continue

Hello!
Sorry, I should of said that sooner. I had a moment of thinking I don't have enough friends on this thing and then didn't know what to say. Sorry to read you're having a bad pain day, hope you're feeling better soon.

Hi Barb

Yes I do like to see members being active on here but not like it is a chore you have to do. More when the creative mood makes you feel like contibuting really.

Yes the candles are great. We had one on again tonight. I also notice when you put them out they don't have that horrible smell which other candles have. I guess that is the soy part.

Anyway yes I hope you feel well this coming weekend and will look forward to more of your blogs when you are in the mood for writing.

Bye for Now

Hi Barb

The candles arrived today. We have tried them boh this evening and they smell georgeous. Also like you say they seem to last for ages and have hardly gone down at all yet. So you have a very satisfied customer here!

I was reading your blog just now on my way to the comments. Can you take anything for the pain you get at all? My Mum had fibromyalgia which they gave her steroids for and she gradually reduced the dose.
Just wondering what you can do to alleviate the situation as being in pain is horrible.

Hope you have had a good day today anyway and thanks again for the lovely candles.
