That was taken on a cruise which stopped in Bali, an exotic and beautiful place The dancers were incredible and that trip was one of the most memorable of my life.

- About Me and my Creativity.
- I've been writing poetry since I was six - will celebrate my 65th birthday in October 2009! No grand epics, just whatever strikes my fancy. Some poems have been published on various sites...the one that means the most to me, "The Forensic Nurse" appears in a textbook, "Forensic Nursing" by Virginia Lynch. I occasionally write an article - "East Meets West:" appeared in "On the Edge" our forensic nursing news magazine and I hope to do a forensic novel one of these days. I have taken a few wonderful photos that have made their way into various sites. Otherwise, I'm afraid, I am not especially creative!

- Love to travel, especially by cruise ship, even a row boat would suffice, if there's a nice captain paddling. I enjoy reading, writing
( mainly poetry but I'm hoping to pen a novel one of these days ), dining out, drinking good wine, meeting new people of all creeds and cultures. I dislike injustice and rude people and intolerance.

- I'll celebrate my 65th birthday Oct 3, 2009 with a Mediterranean cruise...just retired ( not willingly ) after 21 years as a forensic nurse with the city and county of San Francisco - Mayor Newsom has devastated the Dept of Public Health with massive budget cuts. I have been a nurse for 44 years...guess it's time to slow down a little but I'll be looking for some sort of part time work, at least, in the forensic field!

Welcome to Creative Cafe. I have always liked the name Carmen since we sang the musical at school. And I love cruises as well! To be honest I have only been on one cruise but it was very memorable. My friend wanted to see Lybia and it was the only way to get there and then we enjoyed all these other places like Tunis and Malta as well. I would definitely go on another cruise if I ever get the chance.
Being a forensic nurse sounds interesting but it must be nice to take things easier and write poetry. I'd like to see some of your poetry as well.
Anyway it is quite easy to do things on this site like change your page theme and add photos, videos, music, write blogs. The latest 10 members blogs are featured on the Main page and so are some of the photos. You can also start and join in groups and discussions and make new friends.
So if you want any help with anything just ask and I will hope to catch up and get to know you better soon.
