About Me and my Creativity.

I have painted all my life. Studied at West Sussex Colletge of Art and Design. I have spent 25 years in Advertising and Design, producing various styles of illustration. For the last five years I have concentrated on portraiture and have been developing a very graphic and modern style of painting, which although stylised, is very expressive in its freedom. I try to capture the unguarded moment rather than a traditional posed portrait. I am constantly inspired by my children.

Likes and Dislikes

Like : The brightness of natural light, drawing inspiration from the coastline, sport and most of all, my family.
Dislike: My partner not screwing the top on bottles, so that I can spill the contents on the floor and constantly leaving the light on in the studio when she has gone to bed. My fat garfield cat making a statement by sitting on my keyboard when he has been out in the pouring rain.

Do you have any disabilities that affect your creativity?

My disability to be able to spell the ridiculously complex English language - my partner is typing this!

Recently won a highly commended award at the 11th Chichester Art Exhibition out of 900 entries for my painting of Antonia.
