Cottage Industry

I'm just an old fashion, whimsical lady who doesn't want to see the cottage industry dryup and blow away. It's so important to the arts and crafts industry. I'll glad for these sites that promote folkart, arts and crafts.

Oh do you mean the Salesrooms? Creative Cafe Salesrooms is a seperate site and you have to register seperately. Once you have done that you get a What you see is what you get (WYSIWYG) style format to list your items and it tells you where you can upload pictures.

We are closing the Salesrooms on March 15th and buying and selling is transferring to the Salesrooms Group on this site. But you can still list items for sale in the Salesrooms until March if you want.
In the Salesrooms group you can start a new discussion and put up your things for sale and/or put them in the Introductions discussion or wherever you want really. You can also promote your things for sale in any blogs you write if you want. It is pretty flexible. We havn't got any rules about anywhere you can't promote your things for sale so you can put them wherever you want really. You can add photos, description and prices etc and it is worth adding tag words because we do get picked up by the search engines.

Don't worry about taking up my time. I am here to help and I hope we can help you understand what to do and sort things out. I am probably more confusing than usual because we only made the decision to close the Salesrooms in March and open the Salesrooms Group last week so things are a bit up in the air with moving things over.

Anyway let me know if that helps at all and how you get on.

Welcome to Creative Cafe. It is late here in the Uk and I was just going to bed when I saw you have joined. That is great.

I see you have already worked out how to put up photos and your things look really good. I especially like the little bags. It is also easy enough to change your page theme and add videos music write blogs. The latest 10 members blogs are featured on the Main page and so are some of the photos. You can also start and join in groups and discussions and make new friends.

Feel free to promote your work and site as much as you want and I see you have already joined the Salesrooms group which is good. We only opened the group last week and I am hoping it will be a good place for members to be able to buy and sell their art and handmade crafts.

So if you want any help with anything just ask and I will hope to catch up and get to know you better soon.
