About Me and my Creativity.

I love designing jewelry, sewing, embroidery, photography, and trying to figure out a way to take something that is nothing and turning it into a functional/beautiful product. In addition to designing jewelry, I have a passion for graphic arts, creating websites, multimedia presentations -- basically anything that has to do with being able to use my creativity and imagination.

Likes and Dislikes

I hate the way I look in photographs, so the photo above is actually a photo of my newborn granddaughter, Tiffany Arlene. She was born on February 12th, 2008, a month early. I love being a grandmother. The best part is, is that when she is cranky I can give her back to her parents who are currently living with me. I love being busy and working. My biggest dislike is that there are not enough hours in a day to do everything that I want to do. (By the way, the website listed below is only a "dummy" site that I created early on when I was just learning website design.)

Do you have any disabilities that affect your creativity?

I have two adult children with disabilities, including ADHD (which they probably inherited from me). I've worked with several non-profit groups that focused on individuals with disabilities, and they have been my inspiration. I have met so many individuals with disabilities that have such an amazing gift in the area of the arts.

Where did you hear about Creative Cafe? If you heard about Creative Cafe from another member please say who as those recruiting most new members will win prizes.

I'm supposed to be getting married to my children's dad on July 5, 2008. We broke up when I was pregnant with my son. Now, 20 years later, after no contact for all those years, through some type of miracle we ran in to each other on Christmas Day, a year-and-a-half ago. I believe everything happens for a reason, even though it may seem horrible at the time. In retrospect, I don't think things would have worked out if we would have stayed together back then.

Everything Happens for a Reason -- Even the Bad

Most of my creations come from ideas I have that began as something negative -- and at the time, I could not understand why the bad things were happening -- but the situation ended up producing a positive experience.
