- Hi Jill sorry for delay.....not had a good time last few weeks again.....been pretty much house and bed bound again....... Yeah Ive heard of the lightening process....and believe me would prob try anything but its very expensive £600 per session so Im afraid its out of the question atm......waiting for appt to ME clinic so hope thats not going to be too long then see waht they advise. I know they will pro just tell me to do waht Im doing now but I suppose we sort of hope that they have a magic wand!
Anyway Ive told a friend about this site as she is also a crafter and produces some excellent stuff so look out for her soon her name is Linda xxx

I read about something called The Lightning Process in the Sunday paper (can't find the article online sorry) Have you heard of it? It is said to be able to train new neurological pathways in the brain with excercises and thus help a lot with ME. The case studies they had up were about some people who had gone from being complete invalids to really active again. But it said it doesn't work for everyone.
Just wondered if you have thought of trying anything like that and wondered if it could help? Hope you are having a good spell at the moment anyway.

- Do you have any disabilities that affect your creativity?
- I have been investigated for Suspected Neurological Disease for the last 18 months and only this week (jan 09) have been diagnosed with Myalgic Enchephalomyelitis. However after another relapse I have been referred back to neurologist for further investigations for MS.
I am a wheelchair user and have many many disabling symptoms which come and go and I suffer from chronic fatigue!
I have lots of spasms and have tremendous numbness to my hands and fingers which sometimes stops me crafting....but I get on with it and craft as much as my disability will allow me to which at the moment sadly isnt a lot!
- Where did you hear about Creative Cafe? If you heard about Creative Cafe from another member please say who as those recruiting most new members will win prizes.

- Im married to the love of my life David, and have a lovely daughter Kate and they both are truly fantastic. They both sacrifice a lot to help with my needs and day to day care and could never thank them enough.
Before I became ill I used to ride my motorbikes and I, along with several female friends set up our own Ladies Bike Club. I dont ride now as I lost my driving licence through ill health but we still meet often and have now become a 'ladies wot lunch' club as a few of us have ditched our bikes in favour of other things and committments.
I have a GORGEOUS puppy named Charlie and hes a Shihtzu and he keeps me company during the day.
I have recently been medically retired from my job as an ambulance driver/attendant which I loved but for obvious reasons I could no longer perform my duties!
So Im now a lady of leisure altho im constanlty looking for things to do and classes or groups to join or set up as Im very much a do'er when my illness allows as these days I tend to sleep more than anything else.
But theres ALWAYS someone worse off than me so Im thankful I can still do the things I do and enjoy what I do when I manage to do it!

Hi all,
Hope everyone doing ok.....
I haven been on here alot lately mainly due to the fact that Ive been having a pretty rough time of it all again and spent most of it sleeping or in bed feeling quite ill!
I am however pleased to say that I have this week, been eventuall diagnosed with the Neurological Disease....... Myalgic Enchephalomyelitis.......ME.
Only took 18 months!!!!!
So ive been referred to an ME clinic and although there is no cure for this disabling illness, I will get pain a… Continue

Im still alive...........lol
Hi all and thanks to Jill, Mandy and Leslie for your pics and messages!
So sorry for the delay in replying but once again I have been knocked off my feet with a mixture of the usual symptoms, fatigue, needing my injections again and the heat all combined and making me feel so ill!
Ive prob had around 6 days up in the last 4 weeks so Im having a preety poop time and most of the time I havent the energy to get on laptop.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF WILMA (AKA JULIA)
Well Im a day late in writing this blog but only because I spent all of yesterday asleep! :-( Hate wasting my days but I seem to do a lot of that these days!
Anyway, got a busy week this week.....
Monday-slept ALL day!
Tuesday-Two good friends from work coming to see me :-)
Wed-Im getting my new WHEELCHAIR woo hoo!!! Not a dull black one anympore but a BRIGHT metalic blue one just like my motorbike!!! Still cant go out alone tho as Im not the best these days but one day I might be able to th… Continue
