About Me and my Creativity.
Ummmm! Exactly - it is all very ummish.

When I can brave putting Photoshop on my pc, I will be doing pictures which relate to mental illness and health, political anxt and what I think are other relevant issues.

I like anthem type slogans with images that bring out the full meaning.

Sometimes I write poetry. I used to write loads. Mostly self absorbed drivvle. Now I write a different kind of self absorbed drivvle and infrequently. Was rather pleased with my homage to Kurt Cobain and have done the odd poem about mental illness but something shifted when my mother died. And so poetry remains mostly motionless.

Done a few paintings too. I like themes. Like taking a photo and then alterning it on Photoshop, adding a logo and then doing a painting. Again, is rare but absorbing when mood takes me.

Yep...am really an ad hoc creator.

In light of the many anti stigma campaigns abounding I need to change my comments and uphold respectability in politically correct circles.

Henceforth, am no longer off my rocker.

I am now almost recovered and only slightly insane on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. and every third weekend of the month.

Has been a bit of manicky weekend for me. I can tell when I am manic now (it has taken years to suss it) because I get a buzzy head. Like a constant pulsating that won't go away. With that a level of energy that demands using up. Not in any particular direction but it is there (like the head) buzzing around inside me, needing to be burnt.

I try to focus best as I can, because otherwise it can get chaotic and, if I don't try and keep the control, I can start getting the wanderlust and head off (… Continue

It’s been one of those days here, the cat was suspiciously quiet as we got up so I might’ve known it’d be eventful. I let cat out, turned to find a daughter-in-law leaping about at the window! She wanted us to have one kid, Lucy, so she could visit Liam who’d been in hospital since 2am with chest pains!
Jill wasn’t up yet & I was about to get a pre-booked taxi to meet Helen in town so Sandra had to take her with her. After they left Helen called to say she couldn’t make it. (She’d soberly slipped in her own kitchen & cracked a bone in her back so after 3days she’d got out of hospital yesterday. Woke this morning unable to walk! So I used the cab to get money & was back just in time for Jills arousal.
We’ve had Pete drop in to pay back last weeks borrowings, news of flats for Tony, then Shaun, very much in ‘banned-driver’s apathy-ism’! As the song I played yesterday said; ‘I’m watching the wheels’!

There’s always been a ‘pick’n’mix’ feel about fraggle-meds. Getting the ‘concoction’ that most ‘normalises’ the individual is like finding the perfect mate, you have to try a lot of frogs b4 findin your ‘Jill’!

I think our new doc is in one of Bliar’s PFI scams. In which case we’re probably on their ‘Database’. The illegal one that’s cost 14billions plus so far & that hasn’t helped one single patient or staff member!

Speaking of gov’t fiddles don’t think for a moment that they’ve shelved the ID scam as they said. Now, you won’t need one until you apply for any of a number of ‘official’ documents. Driving licence, passport etc. Once you apply for any of these you’re automatically ‘enrolled’ & issued with your ID card & the bill! Its simple, no ID card no document! Hey presto it’s New Labour newspeak for ‘Voluntary’!

I’ve only got 4 ‘olde’ computers left! From an empire of over 100 different ‘systems’ I’ve got a ‘BBC B’, a ‘BBC Master’, a grotty pc using Windows ’95 and an Acorn Archimedes 4000.
-I can tell you’re spell-bound & riveted!

Sorry you are having a bad time and services are useless. Same old story isn't it. I dunno what the answer is but do write off list whenever you want if it will help at all. I can listen even though I can't do much to help. If you were round the corner I could bring you some comfort food but your not!

I am really not getting much done today and seem to be playing catch up all the time. The saga on UKS continues ad nauseum and you know who is determined to upset people. I feel quite tired from it and would lile to see him banned really. It's horrible to see someone be so deliberately destructive. And for what?

Anyway I won't be on here long as have a lot to get done but do write if you feel like it anytime. Hope you feel better soon.

It’s the same water feature; main bowl reservoir with solar powered pump which gets water up to a jug which is atop a triple bowls cascade tinkling down & back into the bowl! See the picture –its much easier to see whats going on let alone understand my ‘description’!

Jill is currently hellbent on getting the rest of the stuff unpacked. –That’s moved from one box to another in layman’s terms. She’s freeing up her mini-Hilton.

I tried juggling me meds a bit. –It seems to me that after 15 years-ish I can’t STILL have ‘indigestion’. So I stopped the pill for that. Within two days I’m crippled by very acidy guts & I’m burping & farting more than the Royal Navy! –Back to near-normal now. –That’s enough personal chemistry for me for a while!

We also had the storms on & off for a day. There’s only low plants doing anything flowery, all the bigger stuff has already done its bit or has one more lonely bud trying to do its bit. The poppies resemble something from a crypt!

Speaking of time…

Hi Mandy

The new decor on my page is taken from one poppy in the garden. It looks more like a paeony. Azzi took the picture with his new camera.
He is getting some good pics with that camera.

The thing about mad wars is people won't stick to the issues and go in for personal attacks. I am all for debating the rights and wrongs of this issue or that issue but not for people to get personal and nasty. Maybe like you say lack of support is the reason. But some people seem to thrive on being nasty and snidy. Maybe they are trying to stop their own bad feelings that way but it isn't constructive and can be very hurtful to the victims they try to bully. You are well to keep out of it which I usually do as well but sometimes get dragged into reacting!

You didn't write off list so I assume you have sorted out whatever it was? Hope so anyway.

We had storms here yesterday and there was a right flood outside the front with what looked like a river going down the steps. It was quite dramatic.

I am just sorting out the small bedroom upstairs and unpacking boxes which have been left since we moved in. Have discovered lots of exciting things we obviously couldn't live without like cassette tapes, old computer magazines and books. A lot of it is going under the bed and clearing space for Azzi and Peter to be able to mess around with his old computer collection. He has about 6 old BBCs and Acorns and other models which they rave about compared to modern day PCs. The operating systems were so much better in those days apparently...

So better get on as there is a lot to do.

Hope you have a good day.

Hello Mandy Pandy

I went to a car boot sale on Sunday, and came back with my ultimate wish-fulfilment item for all of 50p.

Yes....

A BUZZ LIGHTYEAR!

Complete with laser beam attatchment, and 3 different buttons saying,

"I am Buzz Lightyear! ..... To infinity .... and beyond!"

Now I can die happy.

Richard.

Hi Mandy

Sorry I didn't reply yesterday. Have been kind of distracted and I don't know where the time goes by so fast! Yes do write about anything you want off list. Am happy to be as supportive as I can be from this far away.

Yes the argy bargy on UKS is ongoing and difficult. I don't mind people debating issues but certain members delight in making snidy personal attacks and flaming other members. I'm sure you can guess who is involved! I'm so glad we don't have all that on Creative Cafe and people are friendly to each other when they do communicate. Mad wars can be so destructive and upsetting for those involved who in fact need support not critisism. But there are a few who seem to thrive on them. They seem to use personal attacks as a way of easing their own bad feelings. But it is abusive and wrong.
A certain person really makes me sick the way he carries on...

The tennis final was good. I do like Federer anyway but it was so close and hard to pick between the players. I'll miss the tennis being on this week now.

Yes I've been finding other ways of getting traffic because I never know what Entrecard are gonna do next. It makes me nervouse because I like to know where I am with things. Am about to approve our 400th member as well.

Have a look at my last blog post on Despondex! It's really a sarky joke on medications and made me laugh anyway.

Must get on as there is a lot to do but hope to catch up off list when you feel like writing.

Bye for Now
Jill

Hi!

Just watched most of the final! Was outside for 3/4hr or so. They both had to work for it!

Tony was invited round yesterday to erect Jill’s next purchase, I gave his girl Madison some ‘bubble juice’. She tried & tried but couldn’t seem to get many bubbles from her mixture & wand so she poured it into the water fountain thingy. We’ve now got a foamy blob as a gardener’s centerpiece! Titchmarch will be loosing his wig! Some of the poppies are surprisingly different! According to Jill they’re more like paeonys! –Phonically that is. –ish! I’ll stick some snaps up soon, you can see ‘em.

Gonna try to get 171/2 winks now. How many bets I'll just be fading when Jill will ask about food or tv or... -Ev'ry time! -times it to perfection!

Hello Mandy ! That red flower is intended to be rose, the blossomed dream nurtured in part by the angels lurking in that menacing darker sky...

Even now after so many years of working with layers, I sometime forget to switch the current layer before working on it... but that being said, working with them is not that hard to learn... ;o)

Glad you enjoyed the strawberries with your tennis !

Cheers,
Chris

Helooo Mandy

I have just splashed out on three new films - "Grand Torino" "A Few Good Men" and "Slumdog Millionare" - I have homework to do.

I am better than Andy Murray ... honest

If you are into experimenting, try '"Little Boots - Hands" - sort of catchy late eighties synth-pop with a Kylie twist. Either that or stick with Lily Allen, which is a fairly safe bet.

The choice, Mandy..... is yours!
