About Me and my Creativity.
I'm a Scottish artist living and working in a tiny village in Norfolk, UK with four cats, a very understanding husband and rather a lot of art materials. I work in cloth, paper, paint, dye... just about everything, and have online shops at http://artmixter.etsy.com and http://purelypainting.etsy.com. And of course, a blog, well, three actually, but the main one is http://artmixter.blogspot.com.

I suffer from clinical depression, and have done most of my life. Dancing with the demon depression has both positive and negative sides.
Likes and Dislikes
like food, art, music, singing, reading, especially fantasy books and creating mayhem, dislike dishonesty, nuts and being asked how long it takes to make a quilt...as if it matters....

Do you have any disabilities that affect your creativity?
I suffer from chronic clinical depression. Oh, and I'm somewhat deaf. I think that should read, have some hearing loss. I do love my hearing aid, though...

My first book, Lovely Lutradur is available NOW! Written with Dijanne Cevaal, it introduces this wonderful non woven polyester cloth by showing you how to colour and use it. Available from http://artmixteremporium.blogspot.com

And there are more to follow; if you are familiar with my work, you will know that I work in mixed media and paint as well as textile, so I can offer a wide range of technique and process workshops. If you don't see it here, why not email me and ask about it; I specialise in bespoke workshops.

I love working with groups, but limit the size to twelve at the most. I can t… Continue

Hi Marion

Havn't heard from you for a while so wondered how you are getting on at the moment? I have just noticed you seem to have your own RSS at the side of the page. I am thinking it might be better for us to have yours up on the Main page rather than one of the anonymous ones we have now. Where would I get the code for it?

Anyway if you would like to add yourself to the map I have put up it is HERE.

Would be nice to hear from you.

Bye for Now

Now that we are getting to be a bigger group it is

important all our members can still feel they are

being heard. Your opinions and contributions are

what make Creative Cafe a lively community.

We want everyone to join in and be involved.

To help with this you can now chose the members

photos which go up in the Mainpage Spotlight

Slideshow. Ten new photos are featured every few

days and you can chose the ones you want

HERE

We now have a Blog of the Week feature so the

more blogs you write the more chance yours will

be chosen to go in the limelight on top of the Main

page. Vote for which Blogs of the Week you want

 HERE

Write discussions about your own projects & websites

and these will be found in their own Category

HERE

The more active a member you are on Creative Cafe

the more your contributions will be recognised and

the more your voice will be heard.
