Merry Christmas!
I have declared the Christmas rush to be OVER and I now plan to sleep for a week.

A week or two ago I heard about a place about an hour away that was giving away Christmas trees. They're a company that builds log cabins and they decided they had to thin the woods around their own house -- embarrassing, it'd be, if their house burned down, specially in that industry. - About Me and my Creativity.
- Took me years to find it, or maybe to admit to it. As a friend of mine said recently, I was positive that I was not creative/could not make art for most of my life. Nobody ever told me that if I practiced, I'd get better. Nobody ever told me that just because my art didn't look like "fine art" that I saw in museums, it was okay. Nobody ever told me that everyone is creative and has their own unique vision to share with the world.
When I read that the light went on. She said it about me as well as herself, and didn't even realize it.
I write a lot more about my creativity -- and everything else -- at my Wordpress blog.

- Do you have any disabilities that affect your creativity?
- ...I guess I don't know how to define 'disability'. The asthma certainly gets in the way of things, but most of my creative work is fairly sedentary. Depression...ongoing and eternal battle, but the creativity has been pushing it back recently. That's what I got; judge as you will.
- Where did you hear about Creative Cafe? If you heard about Creative Cafe from another member please say who as those recruiting most new members will win prizes.
- Jill herself wandered by my other Ning page not long after I made it, and made me feel oh so comfortable...

- I'm about to announce my Grand Opening, complete with free gifts sent with every purchase! (I was going to do it today, but I'm not awake enough to write it all up properly...)
Also looking into local craft shows and such. And a little nervous about it, too.

Glad sales are going well for you but you must be tired being so busy again! But then again you are always busy Kate! I will believe your 2 week sleep when I see it!
Yes you have written some good sales guides which should help the new sellers. I know jewelery is competitive with a lot of sellers. I'm sure your advice will be much appreciated anyway.
Yes things here are ticking along. Hopefully the decorations will go up this weekend which will cheer things up. I was sulking at the cold rainy gloomy weather the other day and wanted to book a sunshine holiday just to get away from the winter. But the mood passed... Still have some gift buying to do yet though so it isn't all organised.
Anyway try not to work too hard Kate!

How are you? How are sales? Are you rushed off your feet at the moment? In case you get a moment Ann Rose is a new member and is looking for members to talk to about jewelery making in the Salesrooms group at the moment. I mention it to you because you are so good at being friendly. But I know you are probably very busy right now.
The time seems to be going by so quick as well. Only a few weeks to the holidays. I am going to put some decorations side pictures up on the Mainpage and my page soon.
