About Me and my Creativity.
I love to make jewelery, all types, mixed media to detailed beadwork. I also do altered books, make cards for friends and family for special days, I will alter anything, love to do train cases. Have done a few mixed media wall art. Dabble slightly in clay (poly), love to teach my dogs new things, I have 3, 2 big uns and 1 small, or smaller. She's a pug, they are kinda round ish.
Likes and Dislikes
I dislike stupid drivers and people that just don't know how to drive, hate to be behind them, going really slow. Ignorance, people that don't seem to get it. I like just about everything else. I love Japanese food, critters of all kinds, babies, gonna have my first grandchild in May 2009, wooooo hoooooo!!!!! I like creativity and people that don't give up. I love Pugs, my baby girl, Tina, she'll be 3 May 1st, if I only knew, I would have had them years ago.
Do you have any disabilities that affect your creativity?
Now that is a question, sure, don't we all. I have major arthritis, but it should slow me down like a bullet in the head, but it rarely does. I'm one of those fight through the pain people, endurance. I guess that's because I'm 1/2 Japanese.
Where did you hear about Creative Cafe? If you heard about Creative Cafe from another member please say who as those recruiting most new members will win prizes.
Through Bellaonline. That is one of the first beadsites I looked at many moons ago, but didn't know that this place existed. I still don't quite get the gist of this one, is it blog stuff?
Any other News?
As in above, just wanting to find out what I need to do to get involved with bead stuff here at this site. Is this like, I blog, you read and answer? I tried to access a couple places, it wouldn't let me, don't belong. Truly heartbreaking, just want to learn anything about anything, but mostly bead stuff.

This is the one I was looking for:

http://jewelry-marketing.com/

And this one is okay, not great, but a good start:

Heya!

I hear you're looking for my Promoting series -- the rest of it is elsewhere:

http://omshantihandcrafts.blogspot.com/

If you scroll down a little, there's a box on the left with the links to the entire series. It's called Promoting Tips & Tricks Series.

I've seen other web sites with information specifically for jewelry, but of course I deleted them all from my bookmarks last week! I'll see if I can dig them up again for you.

Hi Sylvia

I think you may want to read Kates (omshanti) great guide to promoting your work. You can find it HERE

Oh -- so you're already beyond what I know. I'd love to see some of your work! Then I shall simply welcome you here; it really is a lovely place when things are working right. :)

Welcome Sylvia!

Jill says you're interested in bead stuff -- I really only do simple strands but I'd be willing to give you a hand if'n you want. Best way to get the attention of someone in particular is to comment on their page or message them -- sometimes a blog post slips by too fast for people to notice.

Let me know what I can do for you!

Welcome Sylvia -
You can make some very wonderful friends here from all around the world. Just remember we are all so busy it may take a few days for an answer to come back to you.
Jill is right, I am a jewelry maker and have a Ning site myself called a Bead Deava. It's very small compared to here - Jill has really built this place up and is so supportive and amazing....
Anyhoo - if you would like to visit my place you are more than welcome. We chat about types of jewelry making and I am in the process of getting together a beading challenge and the prize will be a goody bag of beads.
I have an interest in Texas - you did say you are from Arlington right? I assume that means Texas? Well, let me know - I might have some questions.
Hope to see you soon!

Hi Sylvia

Welcome to Creative Cafe. This site is for everything creative you like to do including beads and we have some keen beaders among our members. You could also join Rebeccas network ABead Deava which is specifically for beads. There is a link badge further down on the right side to join up. Members put up their pictures and their work for sale and write blogs when they want. I will tell Rebecca you have joined and maybe she can give you more info as I don't know much about beading myself. If you look through the photos and see the members who have bead pictures up and write them a comment I am sure they will give you all sorts of information and feedback.

Anyway it is quite easy to do things on this site like change your page theme and add photos, videos, music, write blogs. The latest 10 members blogs are featured on the Main page and so are some of the photos. You can also start and join in groups and discussions and make new friends.

So if you want any help with anything just ask and I will hope to catch up and get to know you better soon.

Bye for Now
Jill
