WEDNESDAY 23RD APRIL 10.35PM either on BBC1 OR BBC2, ROLF HARRIS will be presenting a programme called MADE IN ENGLAND. It is a programme about various unusual places to visit in England that would otherwise be over looked. On this programme will be a Romany couple who I know who live here in Cranbrook who have something like a 4 minute window in the programme to discuss their way of life. Why are arts subjects systematically being eroded from our educational curriculums?

Is it because contemplating the human condition is not necessarily fiscally rewarding? Or is it because producing a population of free thinking individuals might result in (heaven forbid) an outbreak of pacifism?
