A Little Diversion

I figured it's about time to start posting my little vacation in Tennessee...

These are my dear friends, Wade and Taynia, getting married. They're really lovely people.



Also Lark and Jamie in the background sharing a little joke. No, I have no idea what they were saying.

As promised, Loiosh all dressed up for the occasion.



I got to read a poem as part of the ceremony -- a piece by Maya Angelou called Touched by an Angel. I was really honoured to be included in this way.

Loiosh, however, was not.

During the reception he had a lovely little nap though.



And then he danced with his Momma!

Oh, the moment someone invents the teleporter, I will be a happy, happy woman. And not only for the English breakfasts thouh that would certainly be part of it!

I know we all live so far away from our friends and family these days. My Dad grew up in a street where his cousins also lived. When I was young we knew all our neighbours in the road. These days I hardly speak to my neighbours and spend time online with people who are across the other side of the world like you. Shame your not local really. Dickens and Loiosh could play together and you could teach me to make soap! Don't worry I would make you full English breakfasts in return!

I'm glad you had a wonderful time despite the long drive anyway Kate.
