Creative Cafe

Let your imagination run free

Regina Sunderland

New Art & Items have been added to my Cafepress Store, plus a few other updates.

I am just so happy to say that I had my very first Sale of my new Cafepress Store the other Day. Isn't it amazing just how a first Sale always affects you? I am glad, glad, glad that I have decided to finally go art wise in the direction I enjoy myself the most and step away from the more erotic drawings for a bit. Not that there is anything wrong with them, but lets just face it there really isn't much place or market for them.

Plus, I am finally getting a few moments of creative peace in my house now. Yup, folks you who create will understand this. Here I sit, poised with my pen or pencils ready to draw and suddenly out of the blue they come. The images that you haven't drawn yet. They actually get a bit upset with you after a while. Sort of like sibling rivalry they are in some ways. They shout, and just what is wrong with us? Nothing, but I just haven't gotten around to you yet. You are next. Of course, truth be told, I had promised them that for several years and always ended up drawing what would amuse my husband instead. Ok, silly me.

Strangely enough so, with each time I drew things my husband would like, I would go a little further away from my dream of making a living of my art and being able to really get deeper into my own zone. So almost 3 Years of having my erotica store (fetish erotic fantasies) on Cafepress and not ONE ITEM sold. About 1 month with the Art I love to draw and feel good about, because it means something on a spiritual level to me and check it out and watch me go when I do what is right for me. Already one little old sale. So yes, it may not be enough to make a bill payment, but it was a Sale. So hurray for progress.

I have added several other Drawings to the Items now and my Store is slowly starting to get a few options now. Today's addition I am especially proud of.

Isn't she a beauty?

I call her my Summer Fairy and you can read her background as always on my Blog: http://www.artsgiftsncraftsstore.info/wordpress She is the first (pushy as she is) in my "Seasonal Fairies Collection."

Oh and you may want to check it out, because there is something "fishy" going on at my store as well. You can read the background to that drawing on my Blog named above as well.

On to the various updates.

The Arts Festival I attended with my wares for the first time, turned out to be a complete joke. I don't think I have ever had seen anything this badly organized. Most of the people didn't show up, we weren't allowed to sell, it was supposed to start at 5 pm and nobody was ready to even have us set up until 5:30 pm and it went on and on. By about 6:30pm (after helping out since noon), I gave up and went home. Lesson well learned.

I have started to create and will start selling Polymer Clay Handcrafted Beads. I am having a great time and am loving them. I have already registered my Etsy Store in for them, and am just waiting to get a little bit of an inventory before I start listing them.

I guess that is it for now. Thanks for reading as always.

Ciao
Regina
