How are you and how is your Mom getting on? I hope the treatment she is getting is working well.
The time goes by so quickly. I see it was May I wrote you the last comment and now we are in July already. Well it would be nice to hear from you when you get a moment anyway.
Have just read your comment. Really sorry about your Mom. There is a lot they can do for cancer these days. Is she getting good treatment?
I understand your need to 'self-medicate' as they call it. Must be a very worrying time for you. Try to take things easy at the moment. You've had shocking news and it is bound to be hard for you to cope.
I remember the Nixon and Watergate stuff but only vaguely know what went on really. I remember it was reported over here quite a lot but I think people understood more from that President's Men film.
Anyway like I say take it easy and I will be thinking of you.
Yes I know what you mean about it being second nature to reach for a cigarette. I just do it without thinking half the time. But I went for the results of a breathing test I took a while ago today and was told I need a stronger inhaler and to go for a chest xray. It's catching up with me now isn't it!
Anyway went to a nice garden nursery afterwards and bought some nice plants for the garden which cheered me up. I like to see some flowers and bright colours out there and we also got some rock plants for a rockery in one corner that I am planning. For a very small garden I have big plans!
Glad to hear the dentures are fitting OK. You sound quite cheerful at the moment anyway.
Yes I am a smoker and have tried to give up but can't. It is like second nature since I was smoking from the age of 16. I learned on the back of the school bus! So the bad breathing is all my own fault but in those days it was cool to smoke and advertised everywhere. Even so I should give up and have at least tired to cut down a lot.
Anyway it is nice to hear from you and hear your news so keep in touch.
Havn't heard from you for a while so thought I'd write you a comment. How are things going? Have the dentures settled in yet? And how is your quilt story? Is it finished now?
Things here are OK. My breathing is getting bad. I get out of breath really easily now which means I spend even more time sitting down on the computer! My latest thing to promote creative cafe is Twitter. Have you ever tried Twitter?
Anyway it would be nice to hear how you are doing whenever you get time.
The no reply emails mean you can only reply on the messages system on here. I have given up sending round those comments about the Salesrooms closing as I had a reply saying "sorry to hear Creative Cafe is closing". Well we are not closing! Just the Salesrooms. I thought I made that clear but obviously not! So I have sent round a message to the whole group instead now.
Yes well as long as you find the dentures comfortable enough I guess that is
Ok. Azzi got a new lot that were too big and only wore them once. He looked really distressed at the time as well!
I'm told you are right about the energy stuff. I wish I had paid more attention in school to science subjects so I could design some good gadgets now!
Just to remind you
Creative Cafe Salesrooms is closing on March 15th
Buying and selling art and handmade crafts
can now take place informally on Creative Cafe
and in our new Creative Cafe Salesrooms Group HERE
Are the dentures uncomfortable? Why can't you leave them in all the time and forget about them?
You are good at science aren't you. So how about you help me with this project we dreamed up the other day! You know there is all this push for wind and solar power now. Well how about human and now Kass has suggested animal power as well. For example they are now putting in energu making speed ramps which generate power when cars drive over them and there is a night club with a energy generating dance floor. But what if we expand into things like energy generating rugs and staircases and bracelets and necklaces and these collect energy from movements into small batteries which can then be collected up regularly and used to power stuff. Do you think this is feasible?! Only creative answers allowed!
Are the stitches going to dissolve by themselves or do they have to be taken out? It does all sound very painful and hoping things get better quickly for you.
I see you have added some new videos so will have a look when I have caught up with people who have left messages for me.
The more I read about your course, the more interested I am becoming. I think it is actually to do with the sort of work you are doing. Varied and a big wow on the creative factor.
Are you able to...at a future date...take some piccies of the quilt to put them up on the cafe? I ask this because I would love to see it and the clay model. Well, whatever you create and wish to share, I would like to look at.
The Jpegs arrived in one piece. Excellent article. I liked it because it was a no nonsense read. Sometimes articles in music magazines are all flowery with no substance.
I also got to see photos of Kurt I hadn't seen before so thank you very much :>)
The massage was over vigorous and left me in pain. Oops! I actually prefer reflexology. I find that so relaxing although I can imagine if someone has sensitive feet it can be more irritating than enjoyable.
Let me know how the quilt pans out. What sort of painting are you doing on it? Is it one big picture or lots of little ones..or something else like symbols?
Let your imagination run free

Sorry you had to have teeth removed. 8 was it? Hope your mouth has now recovered and you are enjoying your weekend.
See that you have put up some piccies so going to look at them now.
Those latest photos of yours look great. Are you actually making the quilt as well then?
Hope the teeth are Ok.
