Hi, I’ve just used one of your soap bars. I believe it was called ‘Bubbly Scrubbly’ or similar from the hand-written & bathroom faded label. Anyway, I wish to congratulate you on creating a soap that don’t leave y’mush feelin’ like it’s bein’ stretched across a continent! It’s smooth & smells nice altho you’d better not quote me or I’ll probably be blackballed by the “Grand Order of Stake-Holders & Though-Dwellers”!

Hi Kate

Well I've now put up a blog about you winning and sent it to everyone as well as sent you your $10 prize. That's about all I have done since I last wrote you as have been striken with stomach upset. I get a lot of bad guts problems but they usually go off quick with some painkillers but this is taking ages. I get really impatient with anything painful but will stop whingeing and say well done for being this weeks winner and I hope you get some sales from the publicity on the Main page as well.

Have a great weekend

Right now I am off to get some sleep!

Hi Kate

Thanks for sorting out Brenda's order Kate. You are a star.

Yes the gardening is nice in the sun but it tires me out quick! Had Dickens out there with me sniffing about. I can see you with a big garden growing your own ingredients one of these days! Until then you have enough to keep you busy already...

Have a great weekend.

Hi Kate

I forgot you have this lovely kttien fur here on your page. I'll be pleased when your entry comes out to go up. Anyway Brenda from Split Rock Ranch is out of the hat and up this week. The good news is she has chosen your products to get with her $10 prize.(which I will be sending when I get her paypal address). She has chosen one of your soaps as you can see in the $10 discussion and I don't know what else she wants. Do your prices include postage? And you are having a sale this weekend aren't you? Anyway I hope you can give her a good deal with her prize money and that would be great. I will add that she has chosen you for her prize in the blog I will be doing about the new pic going up. That is as soon as I get the energy as it seems to have been a long day. I was out in the garden for quite a while which was nice though.

Hi Kate

Thanks for putting an entry into the challenge so quick. It does look good in here now. Like you want to cuddle the page!

I am up really late, a bit manic, not even sleepy and it is nearly 4.00am! Have been spending time on that Twitter site and getting a bit addicted but it may be a novelty that soon wears off!

Anyway I'd better go and at least try to get some sleep. Thanks for all your great contributions to Creative Cafe. You are a star!

Hi Kate

Yes well the paid adverts on Entrecard have doubled in price and you can't do pay per click anymore since I did it at the beginning. I was reading someone say it was working out very expensive for them at the moment. I am currently also doing Agitize which gives you points in 5 categories which include clicking on some ads, writing a blog a day, page views ad views and if you advertise with them. You then get money back according to how many points you get and it costs $14 a month to advertise with them which I havn't done yet but may do next month. It may be worth it I'm not sure yet. The more ads they get the bigger is gonna be the payouts they say and I think they are getting more popular. Will have to see how it goes. I've stuck up some Project Wonderful ads here and there but the prices we were getting from them were much higher in the run up to xmas.

Have you ever tried ebay at all for any of your stuff? I suppose the prices are too low on there are they? And I know they have high listing charges. May not be worth it.

Anyway its the early hours here and I'm up late yet again! Better pack up now before it gets light!

Hi Kate

You look very jolly in your picture of the sale you did. What a lovely smile! Sorry sales were not too good but it sounds like you made some good contacts. Did you know that Entrecard credits are now going to be worth some real money in exchange (only $1 a thousand at the moment but they say it will go up) and you can sell things for credits in their marketplace. I say this because I was nosing around the forum last weekend (what a drama was going on in there as well!) and some people were saying they were wanting to buy things with their credits in the marketplace but everything had sold out. So maybe it might be worth you trying some of your stuff in there? It looks a bit difficult to use though.

Looish sounds adorable as usual. I am very upset to report that Dickens brought in a bird! Very very bad cat. He just doesn't seem to realise he is well fed and doesn't need to go hunting. I have given him some lectures on the subject but he won't listen. Am trying to watch him closely and make sure he doesn't do it again.

Anyway keep well and happy. I am just going off now to make something for dinner. Not sure what but something...

Take care

Hi Kate

I have put one of your jewelery pics up as the current side picture on the Main page and have put your link to your Etsy shop at the top of the Main page as well. Hope it gets you some sales.

Hope all goes well.

Hi Kate,

Here is an update on Shopit, to purchase items from the shopit app. you have to click on the shop name which in my case is Seagems, that then takes you to the shopit site where you can click "add to cart" to buy you then have to sign up, a bit like ebay. So it does work, but the system does not make it clear about having to click on the name first or any other instructions, so we'll just have to wait & see what happens.

Regards

Valerie

Hi Kate

Sylvia has now asked for help with selling as she has not sold any jewelery yet. I gave here the link to your Promoting tips and tricks guide but could only find part one. I know you did a whole series.
Do you know where the others are at all?!

Yes you have to be careful with depression. It can creep up sneakily. And be hard to shake off. I've been lucky for quite a long time now but I am very careful not to let it get any hold in me because I remember how horrible it is. Make sure you are good to yourself and don't get run down.

Now computers games can be a real addictive time waster! I used to play things like Civilation for hours and hours. Also had quite an addiction for Sim City for a while. These days I don't know of any new games that I want to try really. Which is lucky because I don't have the time!

Anyway hope you have a great weekend snow or no snow.

FYI, I did visit your site, the only place that would let me in on the first day. Thanks for making me feel at home. Love your stuff, maybe someday I take time to buy some, I have a horrible memory and forget different sites, but I won't forget yours.

Omshanti, love the name, beautiful. I have been doing beadwork since I was about 10, I'm 51. I quit for many years, but knew the details of beadwork. Mom's Japanese and taught me loads of stuff. Anyway, I'm not so much a single strand person, unless it includes beaded beads and detailed stuff. I do love single strand work, don't get me wrong, but I love to play with different stitches and drive myself nuts ripping it out because of a misplaced stitch. I will not leave it, I know it's there and that's reason enough to take it out. Yessss, I'm OC, but parents taught me right, I hope...

Hi Kate

Thanks for responding to Slyvia although I notice she hasn't replied to anyone yet. I hope she appreciates your and Rebeccas effort.

Oh so you are not just getting snow and cold over there then! I was enjoying being sarcastic about your snow being so last season but the weather could turn cold again here anytime. At least the worst of the winter is over which is the main thing in my opinion.

Things here are ticking along Ok. I've try to juggle my medications so I stay in between any extreme manic or depressed moods but with a little bit of manic still in the mix! that means my sleeping is very odd. And so I am usually up half the night or up very early in the morning. The trouble is I quite like it that way. There is something about being up when everyone else is asleep which appeals to me!

Dickens quite likes being up at odd times as well. He often does these mad run arounds the house at about 4 or 5 in the morning. Or he will keep miaowing in my ear in the early hours to make sure I wake up and play with him. Like you say it is a good job they are so cute and loveable or they wouldn't get away with it!

Good news that your sales are up. But you have worked so hard to get known and your products are so good you deserve to do well. When I go round the Entrecard blogs I often see your advert up or someone singing the praises of your goods. What would you do if demand got too much for you to make everything yourself? Do you think you could expand by having manufactured products but still maintain the quality? Or do you think it has to stay handmade?

Anyway I'd better not go on blahing away. Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Hi Kate

There is a new member called Sylvia robbins who says she wants to learn more about beading. If you get a moment can you say hello to her as I don't have much clue about beading myself.

I have seen your blogs on your snow and have been feeling smug with sunshine and daffodils now out here! You look like you are still in the middle of thick midwinter and that is so last season now Kate! You seem to be having fun in the snow with your friends dog anyway. Dickens like Loiosh didn't like going in the snow we had at all.

I have had praise for one of your Salves from Azzi who has started recommending it to everyone with any injuries. I also got a scratch which was stinging and your salve stopped the pain straight away. Your natural ingredients certainly seem to be more effective than the commercial brands in the shops. How are your sales going at the moment anyway?

Hope all goes well and that you do get some Spring weather before too long.

Have a good day and weekend.

Hi Kate

Yeah I am so pleased with the parcel of goodies. Seems quite a marathon you had getting it here. I know finances are tight with you and didn't want you to be out of pocket so sent the postage. I wouldn't usually be able to afford it but I keep a bit of money left over from my divorce pay off for things like that. Things that I couldn't afford usually or any emergencies that crop up. About the only useful thing that every came of that marriage!

The cat is so funny and keeps us entertained a lot. Loiosh does the same with you. At the moment he is flicking a toy mouse around the room and seems to have forgotten he isn't a kitten anymore!

Yeah I can't wait for the Spring either. At least we can see some crocuses out and the daffodils are growing up. It has been a long winter. Glad you are getting some rest and sleep anyway. Seems like you got very run down and need to take care.

Anyway thanks again for the parcel. It is all lovely.

Hi Kate

Yeah yeah yeah it has arrived! Your parcel I mean. And it is all really lovely. Smells georgeous.

I have sent you $39.95 paypal to cover the extra postage you had to fork out. At least that is the amount it says on the box. Hope that is OK with you.

Dickens has been very interested in your parcel as well. Sniffing around it very carefully and trying to get in the box which is obviously too small for him!

Hope you are starting to feel better Kate.

Well yes I tried your blog just now and it worked fine. Must have been a hiccup earlier. Sorry to hear you are still feeling worn out from your trip. You were not even well before you went so I hope you are getting a lot of rest.

Hi Kate

Just thought I'd let you know that I couldn't get your blog up earlier. I'm on Internet Explorer and tried on Entrecard and that came up a blank background so I thought I'd try from here as well and the same thing happened. I'll try again later and let you know if it is any better.

Did you get my message about sending the problem with the paypal widget to Ning direct and if so have they helped in any way yet? I can always write back to them if need be.

Hope all is going well.

Bye for Now
Jill
