Hi Louise

I noticed I called you Jill, back in October, I must be madder than I think..lols

Sorry to read that Bob is still poorly. I hope he starts to feel better soon...even if it is only a little, followed by a little more until he is much better.

I am off to the doctor tomorrow with an ever growing list of ailments. Have a lingering cough and sore throat (remnants of a cold) that might be turning into bronchitis and a tummy problem that won't go away. Ho hum. Aalways something. Anyway, got hot water bottle on tummy now and rrelaxing best as I can. Take care there and give my best wishes to Bob xx

Hi Jill

Friday already. I really can't work out where the week has gone.

I did have a fair to go to. That was in September. How quick the time has flown since then. I sold 14 cards which, I thought, was rather good considering it is a council estate and the event was more geared towards children.

At the moment I am making Christmas cards for friends and family. Sporadically. lols

My daughter took me shopping in Milton Keynes, yesterday. Is a really big centre. I hadn't done anything like that for a while and actually really enjoyed myself. Having a quiet day today and staying over with my friend (the one who keeps goats) later.

Hope you have a lovely weekend and your kitties aren't too frightened by any fireworks that are going off tonight. Hopefully, not that many will. :>)

Hi Louise

Thought I would let you know the bowls arrived today. They are beautiful. Will make very good xmas gifts and I am thinking I have to keep the bird one myself I like it so much! Bye the way I was a bit surprised you don't put your Name and Website url on the bottom of the bowls in case people want to order more. If you have a business card I could print out I could add it in with the gifts? They are really lovely.

Thanks a lot.

Evening Louise

Yes, am up quite late. Making cards. Seems I have got the bug back (at last). Have been lacking motivation..bit of a pre winter slump. Anyway, more importantly am sorry to hear that Bob has been poorly and needed to be in hospital but very pleased that he is home now and, as you said, can go to the ball. On the condition that he comes back wearing both his shoes. lols

My friend took me for a mystery tour today. We were supposed to be going for a countryside cafe lunch but we ended up driving for over an hour...went to the same place 3 times trying to find our way about. We ended up having lunch at Morrison's supermarket. Still, I didn't mind, I quite like a mystery tour. :>)

Glad Daisy is doing well and Crusha is taking such good care of her. What a little sweetie he is. I can see the piccie of her as I type. She is so lovely. Suki is all curled up on her beanbag. She curled up on the chair, in the frontroom, whilst I made cards. She is a strange cat..strange in that she doesn't like sitting on laps but she loves to sprawl out on the floor and get fusses. Is her right..cats have minds and wills of their own..it is what makes each one of them special.

Well, heading back off to facebook. I haven't tried that game. I get too preoccupied in Mafia Wars (thank heavens it is only pretendy) or Fairyland. One extreme to the other.

Hope Bob goes from strength to strength and your week is a lovely one.

Hi Louise

Sorry haven't been in touch for a while. Been a bit busy, trying to sort things out with Dad, getting out and about and also am a bit addicted to some games on facebook (naught I know).

How are you doing there? Have you done any of the craft fairs yet? I remember you saying there was one around this time or was it November? My memory is bad.

How are the kities? Suki is doing okay, considering her age. She doesn't go outside much (unless I do) and is getting a bit cold now.

My garden has come on a treat. I now have more Rosemary and some Heather although am not buying any more seeds or plants till spring.

One of the herbs (from the packet you sent me) is growing well although haven't a clue what it is yet. :>)

My friend has ordered me a book for garden birds because I have a birdhouse and leave food balls for my feathered friends and what to find out what types come to my garden. I haven't got a clue but am willing to learn.

Anyway, gonna go now before I ramble on too much.

Have a fabulous weekend x

Hi Jill

You did have a bit of spree!!! Hopefully I will be able to get them parcelled up for you this weekend, and yes we have lots of pens. Bob is in hospital at the moment - would you believe this is our holiday!!! - so I don't know all of the woods but if you have a special type of wood in mind I'll ask him. The only ones I can remeber are the pen and pencil sets in Oak!!! It's me age!!

The only thing that has occurred to me is the postal strike, I'll make some enquiries about sending them a different way. I'll let you know Jill, and many thanks.

Take care, Louise xx

Hi Louise

I have just been on a bit of a manic spending spree in your shop buying some presents and hoping I'll have everything organised early for a change. Just thought I would mention my address has changed since the last time I bought anything from you. The new address is on the paypal payment page. Are you doing any pens this year by the way?

Hope all goes well?

Bye for Now

Hi Louise

For some reason I didn't get a notification that you had sent me a message. Big sulky bottom lip, hits the floor here! Ha! Ha!

Glad the card arrived. Was worried, what with the postal strike, that it might arrive just in time for Crimbo 2010. Not dissing the postmen. I have a post woman and she is a poppet..even delivers letters that have my name on but person has got my address wrong. I like posties.

Anyway, know what you mean about getting typing in a muddle. My sedation is starting to work and so my vision is gone squiffy.

Just looked at piccies of Daisy and Crusha. What a team. Like Batman and Robin...as long as it's not George and Mildred.

I planted one lot of the herb seeds you sent earlier today. Will let you know how I get on with them.

As for your doggy. What a scamp. I love dogs but I haven't got the energy (certainly not in the morning, anyway). Perhpas you could try those swedish blinds with slats in. That will confuse him. Meany Mandy!!!

Best get off pc before I fall asleep on the keyboard and all you get is alot of letters, numbers and symbols.

Night xxxx

Hi Louise

I keep getting up for a while but feel exhausted and then go back to bed. I went to a Ska night with Em last night. We saw Neville Staples, who performed 'Specials' songs, then Pauline Black from the Selector and finally The Beat did a set. The pair of us bopped all night. Thoroughly enjoyed myself but am paying for it today. Well, it is Sunday...day of rest and all that.

Glad to read Paul is doing so well and is happy and has more independence. Send my best wishes to him.

Good news on your holiday too. I can't remember (brain is fuzzy) if you wrote me where you are going but have a glorious couple of weeks away.

No rush on the photo of Crusha and Daisy. I know what it is like trying to get Suki to stay in one place (apart from when she is sleeping) for more than a couple of seconds.

Hope you had a lovely day in the garden. I had planned to mow the front lawn, today, but no chance. Tomorrow, will do if it is warm enough.

Back to bed with me hot choccy here.

Love

Morning Louise

The parcel has arrived. Thank you so much. Can't wait for spring now so I can't plant some Hollyhocks and Delphiniums :>)

Not sure if I should plant the herb seeds now and keep the pots indoors or wait until spring to plant them. What do you think is best?

Loving the backing papers too. I feel thoroughly spoilt.

Have a great weekend there x

Evening Louise

My friend has 3 goats. Skippy is the biggest, even though he is the youngest. He is a British Alpine and is massive. Then there is Toffee, the second youngest and he is pygmy goat. Finally there is Cassie. She is 16 now and has a very long goatie beard. They are all rescue goats, whom she saved. She actually hand reared Skippy and so he thinks she is his mum. Is very funny how he follows her around all the time.

I never really knew much about goats before but I have grown attached to them. They all have different personalities and are lovely in their own ways.

Appointment with shrink went much better than expected. They are happy for me to tick along at present and understood my need for some consistency and slack. I really can't understand why the consultant at the unit has just taken Dad off lorazepam because he seems so fractious...but I have never really understood what makes unit staff work. They are very robotic rather than empathetic. Ho Hum.

I do make time for myself. The garden has been a great source of pleasure and the card making too has been pleasant distraction and now I have taken the pressure off myself to mass produce for the stall, I am enjoying making them more.

What with once a week eat outs with Em and walkabouts with friend and her animals...that and facebook which I am shamefully addicted to I am finding myself quite busy and in good ways.

Certainly helps balance things out and I can cope with worries around Dad better.

Notice all messages seem to be about me. What about you? How are things? Know you are preparing for 2 craft fairs and have been cat sitting but wondering how your garden has been and if you have had much chance to get out in it.

Going to sign off now. I really do spend too much time on my pc...naughty mandy.

Love and hugs xxxx

Hi Louise

It's been exhausting here. I went out for a drive to Stockgrove Park with my friend Debs, her goat and dog. We then went for a long walk. Debs had to walk the goat (he is 20 stone with a will of his own). I got to walk Sally, who is 16 year old Westie. She and me go at the same pace. lol

Later we took the animals home and then met up with my daughter, her boyfriend and some other friends at Dunstable music festival. Doctor and The Medics were the main attraction and they did a brilliant set. I bopped till I dropped.

Sunday..well that was spent in a delapitated shambles but perked up today when Em and Rob came round. We went to Pizza hut. Very naughty and then on to visit Dad.

Things not good with him at all. I have learnt not to expect too much but it is so sad to see him in such internal pain and distress. He was hyperventilating most of the time. They have taken him off his sedatives...no weening process... just straight off them and I think that is cruel. Spent time walking around the unit garden with him and trying to reassure him and let him know how important he is to me and Em.

Then I had to watch over him whilst he queued for his dinner. Seems the nursing staff have given up trying to get him to eat. Phew. What to do eh?

If he shows any sign of wanting to have a trip out..will willingly organise that. Even if it is in a taxi to a local restaurant or friend taking us to a park but he doesn't seem to want to do anything at all.

Am, as ever, rallying on best as. I have meeting with a checklist charlie shrink tomorrow. One who told Dad all he had to do was think positively, last time they met. I am really close to losing my temper and I think if he gives me any psychobabble I am likely to tell him more than a few home truths about his style of support. Maybe I have seen too many idiots and listened to so much lip service over the last few years, I need time out from such things.

The pozzies are time with my daughter, making cards when the mood takes me and not being totally off my rocker. Ha!

Glad Crusha and Daisy are getting on so well. If you get piccies of them together would love to see thim. You might make a cheap cat sitter but sure you are the best :>)

Half watching 'Wuthering Heights' here. The book was a classic tragic read and this version seems pretty good but my concentration isn't all that.

Anyway, have rambled on long enough. Thanks so much for sorting the parcel out. Look forward to receiving it. I am a bit like a child when it comes to parcels. Get all excited.

You take care too

Love

Mandy xx

Hi Mandy

Just to let you know parcel posted, so should be with you soon.

Spent the day and night round with Ez, had great fun playing with Daisy, she is soo cute, and Crusha is very patient with her. I fed them on Sunday morning- large portions - Ez said that they are both cream crackered and worn out, my fees are very cheap, so she may employ me again as a cat entertainer, guaranteed to play with cats until worn out!!!

Have had quite a good w/end hows it been for you?

Take care, Louise xx

P.S. sorry to read you have eczema. It is allergy triggered? I get it occasionally on my fingers (using too many chemical cleaning products). I put sudocrem on mine. If it is safe enough for babies' btms then it is good enough for my eczema. It soothes the itching.

Take care x

Hi Louise

Just touching base.

Have been busy..not just sending correspondence about and 'pestering' my MP regarding the Care Reform Green Paper.

I now have a bird house...attached to the back of my house :>) Hoping that will be a safe havern for some of the smaller birds this winter. I have also got more lavendar, rosemary and chocolate mint plants in my garden. It's all coming up a treat.

Still to do another 45 cards for the festival stall on the 12th but am dedicating tomorrow to getting quite a few done and sure I will manage it (in spurts and drips..depending on the day).

Hope you are keeping well and preparations for your upcoming craft fairs are going well.
