Morning Jill

Wasn't able to get on here before. Nothing technical..was space I was in. Will write you off cafe as need some sound advice and support in that regard.

Sorry to read there was arji barji on UK Survivors. I think, and is purely a thought, that people have such strong views and often cannot see or tolerate where other people's situations or views. I think that goes with the territory. Is much the same in blogland really. There is quite a big pro recovery lobby forming. I am not anti recovery. I think it is a brilliant 'concept' but am always sceptical of things that are pushed from the top down. For sure wouldn't we all want to be recovered from any illness? But it isn't always straightforward. Maybe that depends ont he severity of your illness and how medications work for individuals. It certainly has quite a bit to do with situations when it comes to mental distress but I tell you Jill, people with mental illness seem to be less able to tolerate anything that doesn't fit their idea.It almost becomes a passion/obsession to make a point. When really a bit more heart felt empathy wouldn't go amiss. I'm far too tired these days to argue the toss with people. Particularly as my view is whatever works for someone is alright by me as long as they aren't trying to sell me their recovery. I do alot of avoidance these days as I have enough things that drain my energies to be dealing with.

Entrecard sounds like a bit of a scam or maybe the recession has hit the company so it can't pay anymore? Hmmm hard to tell but it sounds frustrating for you.

Have been watching the tennis...well most of it. I wasn't surprised Andy Murray went out in the semis. He had to struggle to get that far. Perhaps the pressure got to him. Is hard to tell but he didn't play like the number 3 seed. Then again Darinara Safina (who is world's number 1) got hammered in the semi finals by Venus Williams. Murray has plenty of time to improve his game and I hope he does. Then it won't be so painful to wach him play. Was glad the Williams sisters did so well. I really like them and Serena is a power house.

Not that interested in today's final although will watch it. I think Federa will win too easily but hope it turns out to be an interesting match. Dad is coming round and we are having a take out as I can't stomach cooking at the moment.

Anyway will email you later. I need some 'saner' advice :>)

Bye for now

Morning Jill

Thanks for the link to the lady who keeps goats. Will check it out next. I have a new respect for goats having got to know Debs's 3.

!man on his own in a boat in the middle of nowhere with his head in his hands with the words 'How he hated Saturday afternoon shopping'!". That sums up Dr J and most men really. Glad the social studies teacher used it because it cuts out all the 'needless' debates in classrooms. Or maybe it prompted new ones :>)

I know what you mean about spending to compensate. I do that although I have had to become much more creative with my shopping experiences.

When I have made my 'biwions' from the cards, I am going to get my flat re-carpetted and book a couple of weeks in a seaside resort. I like the idea of going back to Hastings or Brean Sands (outside Weston Super Mare). The beach there is glorious and the sea doesn't go out quite so far. Dreams eh? Who'd be without them.

Do I fancy a cornetto? Do I ever? Love them.

Got an Elvis Night tonight. Hoping the dizzy wizzies keep away or I will go so medicated up, I might sleep through the evening.

Morning Jill

The virus seems to be easing, although these hot days are making things a bit difficult. More so cos they veer me towards migraines. Always something to be dealing with but I have my wafer thingees :>)

Walked to town with Dr J on Monday and bought some summer dresses. In fact spent well over an hour looking around the shops whilst Dr J did his usual heading for the pub routine. Most blokes hate shopping. Must be that difference between coming from Mars or Venus. Ha! ha!

I am usually pretty good at curbing my spending habits. It was different when i was working. I would go on wild sprees. Now for me buying 2 summer dresses is splashing out.

Glad you enjoyed the Festival. I didn't see any of it but I think that is because I had watched the IOW festival for most of the weekend before and am hooked on the tennis. I hope Andy Murray ups his game today. He had to pull out all the stops to get through his last match and I don't know about him but I was exhausted after watching.

A fry up sounds glorious, although will have it later. Am heading back to bed for a while.

Catch up soon

thanks for visiting our site. i only saw your previous message to me just now. we've been sooooooo busy finishing our film. we even had problems with our post-prod house. but now, we submitted the final cut to the festival's organizers and we can safely say that we're done!!! finally!!!

selling tickets has not been easy. though the reviews online have helped us a bit. and of course, family and friends. and since the director and i are both teachers, we have some really great students who are helping us and setting up reunions and stuff to meet up during our screenings.

we will have a private viewing for the entire board of Women's Crisis Center - Manila some time next week. we're excited for them to see our film and finally put their seal of approval. these women are the forefront on fighting VAW (violence against women) and we can't wait for them to tell us their opinions on the movie.

i hope i can find more time to participate actively in your site. this is such a cool way to meet other artists. more power!!!

Dear Jill,
Thank you for the personal welcome! I happen to be bipolar as well but did not mention it as a disability that affects my creativity. I feel being bipolar is the reason why I AM creative, it's more of a gift really.

I just realized there was a link in that earlier message.
I can make a few modifications to be a little closer to the one you saw, but other than that I think it would be fine.

Hi Jill,

I'd be happy to work with you on that. Is there a web site for the Dept that John was in? I would like to see if there is a badge or insignia that might be converted for engraving.

Hi Jill

Ditto on being an impatient patient.

So I have missed Lily Allen. I like her. Perhaps they will do a highlights of the festival special. They did with the IOW festival but I had already seen the bands I wanted in the main programmes.

Running late today. Dad is coming round to watch the Andy Murray match. I need to get to shops for stuff for sarnies and puds but will wait till friend arrives to escort me as was really dizzy when moving about yesterday. They reckon walking is good for re-balancing. Something about getting the brain to compensate. am not quite up to risking walking about outside on my own. Certainly not past the end of my street.

Azzi's new toy sounds fun. I am back to using disposable cameras. I need to get the pictures of the zoo developed. Then will put the best ones up on a blog post about my visit.

Anyway, the bath is nearly ready and then I can get my act together. At some point I need to mow the lawn but that will be when someone is around to keep an eye on me. Fun, fun fun eh?

In spite of the Labrynthitis my mood is good and I have lozees should things get a bit wobbly.

Enjoy what is going to be a gloriously sunny weekend.

Bye for now

Afternoon Jill

Sorry to hear that your stomach has been really bad. I know you suffer with tummy problems but this one obviously knocked stuffing out of you. Hoping things totally ease and you have a pain free weekend.

Am going to head away from pc in a minute as I have been on since 2pm and my vision is getting bad so don't want a migraine on top of all the other crud. I have had my limit of crud...got to cut off point.

I don't know what to make of MJ's past and accusations of abuse and I doubt I will ever know what really happened...only those who were involved know for sure. I am, like you, concerned for his children (children born of fame aren't always blessed by their parents fame). All I want to do is keep away from the impending media circus that will prevail and that is what I hope those who now have responsiblity for the children will want for them (to keep them safe and protected).

Right...off I go. A couple of hours rest before Em comes round and I want to enjoy my time with her.

Hee! Awesome! Doesn't he look all plush up there? He's gotten so big, he's still growing I think. He ate so many June bugs while we were camping I shouldn't be surprised though!

Thank you! I'm gonna go see what I can buy *rubs hands together*

Afternoon Jill

Ditto on the garden front. Still, we have the rest of the summer left...sure there will be some warmer days in there.

You did send me an email. I got my wires mixed up and thought you were sending another. DOH!

So did you purchase the carpet cleaning stuff? I have a rug strategically placed in the front room to cover a fake blood stain from Halloween Party (many moons back). Couldn't get rid of it whatever I tried.

Know what you mean about comfort tv being like comfort food. I get days where I want to watch low maintenance programmes. At the moment Wimbledon is on and so that is my afternoons and early evenings sorted.

Off to see friend with the goats later. She has one of those massive flat screen tv's. It looks good. Not something I would spend money on but can appreciate the quality.

Well, the day is young and I am not so young..ha! ha! Have a load of washing that needs sorting and hoping my order for cutty outty bits arrives cos I have a few ideas that I want to put into action.

Have a lovely day there.
