Thanks for putting my new pictures on the main page. Have been quiet of late as mother in law has been having a very rough year healthwise and looks like we will be trecking up and down the road for the next 4 or 5 months yet at least. I do pop by to see what is going on, especially when I get an alert email to prompt me.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Jill

Checked out the main page. Is full of colour and creative verve. Brill stuff and a great way to celebrate 2 years of the cafe.

Am looking forward to the cyber cake and wish you and all cafe members all the best for the coming year on the cafe.

Hi Jill

Have they fixed the cooker yet? Is okay to have take outs and microwave meals out of choice but not out of compunction.

Is a pity that I am not more techno savvy otherwise I could help create things on the cafe and share some of the workload. Is an awful lot for one person to be mostly responsible for and I feel for you having to do so much. I know what you mean about things never moving as quickly as you would hope. There is still no sign of a care home for Dad although the Trust had him visit this really nice place locally and everyone has acting as if it was likely to be the place he would go to. Then it came to finance and it all imploded. I can't be doing with all the politics and game playing. It's pathetic really.

I had also hoped to scan some cards and display them on the cafe but my scanner has got kaputski. Perhaps Santa Claus will oblige and perhaps not (lols).

Sort of getting ready for Debs. Am staying over at hers and we are going to a fireworks night at her neices but am wilting a bit. One of them days.. Will rally later I am sure.

Anyway, hope things are going well in Brighton and that you have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Jill

Can't believe cafe is nearly 2 years old. Time has gone so quick but is great that it is thriving and more power to your elbow.

Like you, I have got crimbo pressies in early. I got most of them when I went to MK with Em and I have got her crimbo and birthday pressies via the internet. I want to get her some surprises but will pick them up as and when.

At the moment I am making crimbo cards for family and friends although Em wants to book a car boot sale stall and I think I might book one with her.

Going out to lunch today with Debs (of goat fame). She has 50% discount so will be a very cheap meal. I don't mind at all ....you know me - Bargain Basement Betty. lols

Looking forward to seeing the competition entries and the 2 year celebrations.

Bye for now

Urgh, that's annoying. I'm running Firefox, too, and I had to disable Adblock on all my ning sites -- even though I've been using both with no problems for a year and a half now. Wish I knew what changed, or at least who changed it, so I could send them a stiffly worded letter.

Ahh well, I've got it figured out now...

Thanks, Jill.
By the way, my late wife was disabled (blind), an attorney, and a guide dog user. A number of my pieces concern her Seeing Eye dogs. The first one, is pretty funny, the second, sort of touching, and the third is a heartbreaker. I hope you'll have a look.

Hi Jill

Glad that the whiskey did the trick. On a trip around the supermarket (yes I braved a supermarket lols) yesterday, I picked up a non alcoholic bottle of Merlot and quite nice it was too.

Em and me are doing a mini keep fit regime. We are going swimming once a week and then on another day doing the gym. Had first swim in yonks, and it felt really good. I had also planned to see nursey today to get some NRT but she was off sick, so re-scheduled for next week. Not sure I will totally pack up the evil weed but I really need to cut down so if I can replace half the cigs with gum that would do for now.

Have the cards arrived yet? I hope so but fear they might be stuck in some backlog in Milton Keynes sorting station. :<(

Anyway, chuffed you are feeling better and look forward to catching up with you soon.

Hi Jill

So sorry that you are feeling so poorly. There are a tirade of viruses doing the rounds in Dunstable.

Am struggling along with a shoulder strain here but such is life eh? Always something to be hassling us.

Hope the baths help and you have been getting plenty of rest.

Take care Jill and hope you start to feel much better soon :>)
